Today two news-items published in the news papers have made me pensive. The first is the overstepping of its jurisdiction by the Supreme Court in taking over powers of the Executive to appoint a head of an SIT on alleged Gujarat encounters. This is an ominous trend; the judiciary must respect the lawful principles of the separation of powers. For this the Parliament must bring in a law to distinctly demarcate the boundaries in order to eliminate any confusion in future.Of course, the Court has authority to order an investigation by any agency it deems fit to.

The second news is of a Hindu girl abducted, forcibly converted and married to a parliamentarian’s relative in Pakistan. The minorities’ life and honor are not safe in Pakistan at all.

Here in India when police men go to the notorious batala area to conduct a raid for the Iranian terrorists responsible for bomb attack on an Israeli in the most VIP area are suspended and humiliated. Now can a police man venture into a religious seminary or a place of worship of the minorities? The morale of the forces has gone down.  The areas adjoining international borders are hotbed of terrorism but the government agencies are issuing voter cards and Aadhaar to the anti nationals. This is the majesty of the communal vote-politics where Kashmiri pundits and Sikhs are butchered and driven out of their own ancestral land and the antinational or the terrorists like Ali Sah Gilani, Mirwaiz Farooqe, Yasin Malik, Butt, Bukhari and so on are fed with govt. funds. The Government blinks the other way.

The people of India will have to rise and vote en bloc against the communal   vote-politics for once and all otherwise if they fall divided in castes they should prepare for another medieval era.
