Gujarat IPS officers' unionism

Today I see an unusual news report about 35 IPS officers among members of Gujarat  IPS Association who passed a resolution disapproving legal action against Bhatt, their fellow officer facing legal and departmental proceeding. This is  not only a  misconduct but also a challenge to State and its law. If members of armed or police forces indulge in unionism then anarchy would prevail.
Why Bhatt remained dormant all these long 9 years and then became hyperactive by starting filing affidavits after affidavits at various fora of law? Even gangster like Sohrabuddin became a matter of his  belated compassion. If there has been any violation of Bhatt’s human rights by local police then it can not be justified by any logic. But what about the countless instances of violations of human rights of common people. Did the IPS association ever felt it proper to send a delegation of “three IPS officers” to victims’ homes. If that be the case, there would have been no need to constitute human rights commissions (white elephants) at national and state levels.
As the matter is sub judice let us hope Bhatt gets justice if he is really innocent.

  1. I think that if we have committed any mistake in our past then we cannot make correction in future. If Bhatt has raised this matter after 9 years then he cannot be taken lightly that "aap itne din kya kar rahe the". He should be given fair trial and Modi is not any "doodh ka dhula:.
