Anna-team
outbursts against politicians are justified
Politicians
deserve vituperative lash-out from Anna team. I personally do not subscribe to the Anna’s draft of
Jan Lokpal Bill in toto. Rather I appreciate the draft of Aruna Roy.
But
the politicians deserve vituperative lash-out because of their skewed conduct
and resolute unwillingness to keep the CBI under an autonomous body.
Their conducts across the board are shameful. Sharad Yadav’s
credentials are known to all how he in cahoots with Mulayam & Laloo had stonewalled the Women’s Reservation Bill in parliament.

Indices of Bihar’s development
According to a Planning Commission
report the new poverty line defined by the UPA II government on the basis of jocularly
cruel doctrine of an earning Rs.22/day for the rural and Rs.29/day for the
urban areas, 53.5% of Bihar population is under the poverty line while the national
average is 30%. Orissa once ill-famed for Kalahandi starvation death; the line
draws at 37% (2009-10) from 57% in 2004-05. A marked improvement of 20% during
the past five years whereas Bihar has shown no progress on this count during
the same period.
Now these figures narrate a horrifying
picture of the economy. The majority of the people are cursed to live as
sub-humans.

The budget presented
by Pranab Mukherji is frustratingly dismal.
The fiscal deficit pegged at 5.1% will
have ruinous effect on the economy. The measures proposed by the finance
minister to gap part of it are bound to impoverish the common people. The
income tax limit at Rs.2 lakh is ridiculous in the face of uncontrolled
inflation and unaccounted-black money supply into market. Increase in service
& excise taxes is irrational. Rather
than curbing misspending on political agendas the Government has chosen to
crush the people under burden of taxes. He has further hinted at cutting
subsidies on diesel, petrol and LPG. The most effective way to curb the deficit
is to put an end to reckless loan-waiving, free distribution of computers,
tablets, laptops, gold chains and unproductive allowances like
unemployment and old age pensions. We saw that, how the S.P. in U.P and the DMK & the AIDMK made
promises to the people to offer freebies for votes.
The Finance minister who unscrupulously waived
bank loans to the tune of 60,000 crores or even more in the UPA-I must be made
accountable to pay for the wastage; a glaring example of burgeoning fiscal deficit. The govt. expenditure has
never been checked and extravagance by government departments towards the
closure of the financial year has acquired a routine exercise popularly known
as March-loot. Corruption in politics and administration is another area which
if controlled will certainly curtail the deficit to a manageable limit. And the
last but not the least bringing back lakhs of rupees of black money stashed in Europe,
Mauritius and elsewhere will be enough to turn India into a developed country.

The terrorists in India are more privileged than the unfortunate lady saint Pragya
I came across
information from the Face book that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was forced to
undergo narco tests five times but each time the Maharashtra Police and central
investigative agencies could find nothing against her. Even raids on her
residential premises had not given any incriminating evidence to the police. If
this information is correct then why have the NHRC, the judiciary, the press, the
media and human rights organizations fallen silent? Why inhuman & painful repeated narco tests which are scientifically untrustworthy and can be
misused in a leading, motivated and biased manner have been allowed by the Court
that has not started the trial even after 5-6 years? Perhaps no charge-sheet
has been filed let alone the trial. Still she remains in continuous custody. In
2G spectrum case the Court has observed that bail is a rule and jail is an
exception. Does this unfortunate lady not qualify herself for even the bail?
The terrorists in
India are more fortunate than the lady saint Pragya who is cursed to remain under
state incarceration for so many years

Today two news-items published in the news papers have made me
pensive. The first is the overstepping of its jurisdiction by the Supreme Court
in taking over powers of the Executive to appoint a head of an SIT on alleged
Gujarat encounters. This is an ominous trend; the judiciary must respect the
lawful principles of the separation of powers. For this the Parliament must
bring in a law to distinctly demarcate the boundaries in order to eliminate any
confusion in future.Of course, the Court has authority to order an
investigation by any agency it deems fit to.
The second news is of a Hindu girl abducted, forcibly converted and married to a parliamentarian’s relative in Pakistan. The minorities’ life and honor are not safe in Pakistan at all.
Here in India when police men go to the notorious batala area to conduct a raid for the Iranian terrorists responsible for bomb attack on an Israeli in the most VIP area are suspended and humiliated. Now can a police man venture into a religious seminary or a place of worship of the minorities? The morale of the forces has gone down. The areas adjoining international borders are hotbed of terrorism but the government agencies are issuing voter cards and Aadhaar to the anti nationals. This is the majesty of the communal vote-politics where Kashmiri pundits and Sikhs are butchered and driven out of their own ancestral land and the antinational or the terrorists like Ali Sah Gilani, Mirwaiz Farooqe, Yasin Malik, Butt, Bukhari and so on are fed with govt. funds. The Government blinks the other way.
The people of India will have to rise and vote en bloc against the communal vote-politics for once and all otherwise if they fall divided in castes they should prepare for another medieval era.
