An open petition to the President of India Smt.Pratibha Devi Singh Patil

To

Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil

The President of Indian Republic, New Delhi

Subject- Action on the complaint referred to CAG of India vide letter No.P/A-61183 dated 20.6.2007

Revered Excellency,

I lodged a complaint dated 14.6.07 against the then CAG for illegally protecting the interests of an IA&AS officer, with the Excellency, having enclosed 25-page photocopies of the documents procured under RTI from the CAG office.

Strangely the complaint was referred by your Excellency’s Secretariat in a routine manner to the same authority against whom the complaint was made. I was not even informed of this until 21.9.07 when I sought information under RTI Act.

It was not an ordinary matter requiring routine and mechanical transmission of the complaint. It was a serious complaint made against a public authority holding an autonomous-constitutional post answerable to the President only.

The records showed that the then CAG actively glossed over the misconducts of the officer Shri R.K.Verma despite strong evidences provided repeatedly by me. The CAG breached the sanctity of the solemn oath of office sworn by him as prescribed by the Constitution.

During the hearing of the case No.CIC/WB/A/2008/00309 on 4.9.09 the CPIO of the President’s Secretariat recorded his statement before the Hon’ble Chief Information Commissioner that the complaint was never submitted before Excellency, no order came from the Hon’ble President and up-to-date status of the complaint remained the same as it was on 20.6.07, that is, no action.

Now this is the fate of a public grievance on corruption and misconducts awaiting action for more than past 4 years.

I, therefore.request the most respected Excellency through this open petition to take decisive action.

Yours faithfully

Dr. Vijay Kumar Sinha

Insurmountable courage of the Japnese

Nature's cruel devastation of Japan has not deterred the hundred odd technicians, scientists, pilots and others to court certain death in order to secure life for the rest of the people. They have been into the nuclear plants to cap the spill of the radiation. No words can describe their valour. It is a tribute to indomitable spirit of the human race agaist untramelled vagaries of nature. I salute their supreme sacrifice.

Sibal has no respect for Parliament

The news today “Raja stashed Rs.3000 crore abroad under wife’s name” makes Kapil Sibal vulnerable to the breach of privilege proceeding by Parliament for claiming that there was no loss to the exchequer, attacking CAG report, prejudging the 2G spectrum scam thus breaching privilege of Parliament {JPC) and for protecting the interests of Raja as his advocate on the floor of the house. Role of Sibal should also be examined.
The whole lot is rotten. Har sakh pe ullu baitha hai, anjame gulistan kya hoga.
